Dirk Bakhuyzen Jr. and his wife Phyllis fulfilled their dream of owning their own business by forming PROCARE Landscape Management Inc. in September 1989. Today, with hard work and dedication of a core group of loyal employees, PROCARE Landscape Management Inc. has developed into a five-division, full-service commercial landscaping provider in Grand Rapids, MI, employing twenty-five full-time staff members and twenty-to-eighty seasonal employees.
Meet The Team

Dirk Bakhuyzen III
Co-Owner
Dirk has worked for PROCARE since the start of the business. He worked part-time summers and Saturdays all the way through college. Dirk’s major work focus is plan execution, customer service, financials and general day-to-day business decisions. He helps the company and team achieve their goals. He enjoys his family of 4 boys, 1 daughter and is married to Tricia. He loves to hunt, fish and enjoys watching anything sports-related.

Kyle Bakhuyzen
Co-Owner
Kyle has been a part of PROCARE since 2000 and knows the operations from A-Z. He understands what it takes to keep our systems efficient and effective. He still manages a few accounts, but his foremost goals are in organizational planning and decision-making to ensure quality policies and practices. Kyle is married to Jessica and they are the proud parents of 3 daughters. Kyle likes to camp, fish, golf and watch football.

Chris Potter
Operations Manager
Except for a 5-year stint in the United States Marine Corps Chris Potter has been seasonally employed by Procare for the last 20 years. During this time, he has had a variety of positions and responsibilities which have enriched his green industry knowledge experiences. Chris has been raking pruning clippings, mowing, pruning, landscaping, tree trimming, shoveling, plowing, and salting for Procare and he continues to gain knowledge. With a Business Management Degree from Grand Valley State University. Chris has recently taken on the role of Operations Manager and is in charge of overseeing the general business operations. Outside of work Chris enjoys hockey as a fan, coach and player and spending time with his dogs. He is very proud and honored to be part of the Procare family.

Chad Moll
Account Manager
Chad has more than 12 years’ experience in the landscape industry and has been with PROCARE since November 2006. During this time, he has become a Landscape Industry Certified Technician along with working as a Maintenance Crew Member, Landscape Construction Foreman, Irrigation Foreman and now taken on the role of Account Manager. Besides work, Chad is a USMC Veteran and likes to play softball in the summer, watch sports and spend time with his wife Kristi and his two daughters.

Christy Garner
Co-Office Manager
Christy has been part of the team at PROCARE since 2000. Christy started working at PROCARE part time in the office, pulling weeds and mowing lawns. Christy manages our financials and helps plan yearly for the allocation of funding. Her role includes supporting our GM and customer relations. She has been at PROCARE long enough to understand customer expectations conveying the trust and integrity that represents PROCARE well. Christy is married to Mark and they have 3 children. Christy enjoys family time and weekends at her parent’s cottage.

Joy Gorman
Co-Office Manager
Joy has been a member of the PROCARE team since 2003. She is married to Paul and has 4 children. She is our office “jack of all trades” and is an expert in all our office systems and process’. Joy’s responsibilities include payroll, overdue account receivables, data entry, billing and CHOP bid forms. Joy enjoys camping and spending time at the beach with her family.

Leah Bakhuyzen
Administrative Assistant
Leah has been working part time at PROCARE since middle school. Through college Leah worked on the shrub bed weed control crew as a State of Michigan Certified Pesticide Applicator. Leah graduated from Kendall College with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. She works in the office as support staff for managers and the other office staffers. Leah does a great job maintaining and updating our social media presence. Leah has become one of our “go to” IT resource person. Leah also currently serves our country in the Army National Guard.

Jason Miller
Business Development
Jason joined the PROCARE team in August 2013. Jason oversees business development for all green and white landscape services. Jason enjoys listening to clients and working with them to manage their landscape needs. Outside of work Jason enjoys spending time with his Wife Sara and two daughters Marysa and Samantha. Jason is a Disney Junkie and loves spending time outdoors camping, biking and being on the beach.

Tony Catania
Fleet Manager
Tony started with us in December of 2017. Since he started, Tony has reduced fleet expenses and organized the shop. He implemented a fleet management software program and has brought a wealth of knowledge to our team. Tony manages the mechanics who work on everything from big international diesel trucks to small engine repairs. In Tony’s spare time, he likes spending time with his kids and working vehicle projects on the side! Tony is passionate about the work he does and has been a great addition to our team.

T.J. Dekker
Account Manager
T.J. joined us at PROCARE in November of 2019. After working in the landscape industry during and 10+ years after high school, T.J. just couldn’t seem to stay away from the industry. Over the course of his career, which also included sales and office-based positions in various capacities, he has gained several skills that have led him to Account Management. He values quality, efficiency, and customer service. He is the father of two beautiful girls, Sadie and Kinsley. In his spare time, he enjoys racing, hockey, and spending time with family and friends.

Jordan VanBeelan
Project Manager
Jordan joined Procare in September of 2020. After graduating college with a degree in horticulture, Jordan has spent the last 15 years hard at work growing in the industry. He has accumulated a wide range of valuable experience from being a foreman for large scale residential and commercial projects to heavy equipment operator, nursery owner, designer, and now… project manager. Jordan takes pride in every project he oversees, ensuring quality work, crew efficiency, and customer satisfaction. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, woodworking, hunting, and spending time with his wife and three beautiful kids.

Tamara Manuel
HR Manager
Tamara has been with PROCARE since August, 2018 where she started as the HR Manager. Tamara attended Grand Valley State University where she has worked in obtaining Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in HR Management. She has over 15 years of management and HR experience in various fields including retail, health care and telecommunications. In Tamara’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog – Dakota, boating, going to the beach, camping, hiking and kayaking.
